HISTORY:
Living on a medieval world, the Green Lantern had a young apprentice named Deeter. Whether the Guardians had assigned the Green Lantern an apprentice or if this is a local custom is unknown.
As Deeter's master, he had given the boy many jobs to do before Deeter was ready to learn the responsibilities of a Green Lantern. Deeter was charged with cooking and cleaning, listening and learning. He was not easy to work for, as Deeter found out time and again. Still, the lessons he taught would help mold Deeter into a fine Green Lantern.
Deeter had once crept into the master's room late at night and taken the power ring. To teach Deeter a lesson, the old master posed as a beast intent on devouring the young apprentice.

Years later, he would send Deeter on certain missions. During one assignment, Deeter had acted before he understood the situation. Deeter mistakenly allied himself with an evil king who was bent on crushing the local peasants so he could have a castle built.
Once again, the old Green Lantern had to come to Deeter's rescue. He blasted through the castle walls on the back of a dragon, his formidible will pulled the power ring from Grazoum's finger.
The Green Lantern warned the King to treat his subjects fairly or else face his wrath. The master had words for Deeter as well. He was disappointed with Deeter's actions, the boy had charged into the situation without thinking.

Years past and Deeter went on to become a worthy member of the Corps. The current activities of the old Green Lantern are unknown. Whether he retired, died or went on to train others has yet to be revealed.
