HISTORY:

In late 2973, the Durlan Green Lantern was one of three Green Lanterns instructed to prevent the Legion of Super-Heroes from learning the origins of the universe.

Alongside Green Lanterns Vidar and Galte-Re, the Durlan ring wielder fought the Legionnaires and managed to convince them of the damage it would cause if they continued in their research. Unfortunately, one of their number, Green Lantern Vidar, wished to discover what the Guardians had been hiding. He was defeated by the Legion and later stripped of his power ring by the Guardians. The United Planets ruled that no Green Lanterns would ever be allowed on Earth.

On November 29, 2983, the threat of Computo gained the notice of the Guardians. A male Durlan Green Lantern contacted United Planets President Marte Allon to offer the assistance of the Green Lantern Corps. Though the Guardians had already dispatched the Green Lantern of Space Sector 2814 (secretly Rond Vidar of Earth) to help fight the threat, the UP President was steadfast in Earth's policies banning Green Lantern activity.

The Green Lantern Corps was not need by the United Planets after all. Computo was defeated by the hands of the Legionnaires.

The circustances behind the change in Durlan Green Lanterns has yet to be revealed.
