Milky Way Galaxy, Sector 2814, Sol System, Earth, at the gravesite of
Arisia. Ganthet stands there, and his student Percival, both in the robes of the
Guardians of the Universe.
"It is time," said Ganthet. As one, the two
Guardians raise their arms to the sky. An emerald glow emanates from them
both.
Kyle Rayner awakens from a sound sleep to discover that his ring is glowing
and sparking!
"Wha- what the hell...?" he says, as his ring, seemingly of
its own volition, brings his uniform into existence around him. He feels
an urge, like a message, to visit Arisia's grave. Suspicious but curious,
he goes.
The Sentinel had just taken a pair of bank robbers to the local police
station when he "hears" the call. A brilliant green streak lights the sky as
the former Green Lantern moves to the source of the signal.
The two Emerald Gladiators land, almost at the same time. "Ganthet,"
asks Alan Scott, "why have you summoned us here?"
Percival answers: "Arisia is no more dead than Superman was, but she will
need help to heal completely; also, we will require your assistance in
another matter."
As he speaks, the grave opens, and Arisia floats out. She does not look
at all decayed or damaged, although she seems painfully thin, as if her
body had consumed its own mass to survive and heal. As the heroes pour
their energy into her, she fills out to normal; however, she has reverted
to her natural age of about eighteen or ninteen. Ganthet slips a Power
Ring onto her finger. The green hologram that Hal Jordan left as a
memorial dives into the ring, and Arisia's eyes snap open!
