HISTORY:

Galte-Re, along with Vidar and the Green Lantern of Durla, was assigned to prevent the Legion of Super-Heroes from learning the origins of the universe.

After stopping the Legion, Galte-Re's comrade Vidar attempted to discover the origin himself with hopes to become more powerful. He was defeated by the Legion of Super-Heroes and stripped of his power ring. Due to the interference of the Guardians of Universe, the United Planets government then banned all Green Lanterns from Earth.
