HISTORY:
A Green Lantern for most of his 137 years, Quarzz Teranh lived for the joy of being a Green Lantern.
The day came when he was asked by the Guardians of the Universe to seal a black hole in the center of his sector. The outcome of this mission would have mortal consequences to him, but as a Green Lantern, Quarzz Teranh would not forsake his responsibility.
He managed to seal the black hole, but the struggle was too much for him. Quarzz Teranh was found by his friends, fellow Green Lanterns Ghr'll and Xylpth. His ring had stayed death's touch for a few hours. The other Green Lanterns sought to bring him to the Guardians to be saved. Perhaps knowing that if he lived he would never be able to continue as a Green Lantern, he asked his friends to leave him, among the stars he so loved.
